They usually by conducting a generic phone interview with a recruiter and if all goes well, they recommend an interview with a hiring manager. This is my second time interviewing with 2U. I began working for them in 2017. The process was smooth and I was hired. I really enjoyed the company and the culture. In 2020, the company was in financial trouble and ended up deciding to sell my department to Cognizant Technology Solutions. I thought it was nice that they made sure we still had jobs, rather than laying us off like some other departments. Unfortunately, this was a veiled attempt to have us train the people in India who would ultimately replace us. I say attempt because we soon realized that Cognizant did EVERYTHING wrong, despite our MANY attempts to tell them the level of service that 2U partners expect. Fast forward to present day, 2U finally realized that this was the wrong move and began hiring for my former role. I was thrilled and quickly applied. I reached out to a former colleague and she got me in the door for an interview with a recruiter, which went well. I also had to complete an assessment consisted of answering emails from faculty reviewers. The emails were a little strange and not really what we would typically receive, but I responded the way I would have when I was working in the role. A week later I received a rejection email, despite my prior experience doing this job for 4 years. I reached out to the hiring manager, which is the same person who got me the interview in the first place and her response was to check the careers page for other positions.
