Applied online, invited to a group interview ("Assessment Day") the next day. I could choose a date and time for the assessment. There were two groups, my group had 5 applicants, the group after us 6 or 7. We were interviewed by the Area Manager. We were asked to answer the following questions: What's your name? What do you do? What has brought you here? What's your favourite Aldi product? What's an interesting fact about you? We were then given a scenario to discuss as a group for 15 minutes. (It's a busy day before Christmas, several things happen at once. Which do you deal with first? Why? How do you deal with each incident? Do you ask anyone for help?). There is no right/wrong answer really as it's all up to interpretation and lots of other factors. We were asked to give our answers. Then a short maths / attention to detail test which is simple, but you only get 5 minutes so you have to be quick.

Started as a group where we were educated on the history and benefits about working at ALDI, and were asked what we think working at ALDI is like. Seemed like a good company with fair pay. The individual interview itself only asked availability.
