First interview with HR representative, followed by a technical interview with 2 team members. I was subtly redirected towards a Java Developer interview and led to believe there is a chance of growing towards Data Engineering, but the tech interviewers later told me not to bother with that if that is my goal. Apathetic tech interview. Done remotely, in COVID times.

It was okay. They rejected me at the technical team interview. Because my profile didn't match. I am exp in data engineer+mlops. They wanted more on data engineer side and not with infra background.

General question about prev exp, team behavioral, and technincal questions

The interview process at Adyen is very long and disorganised for what it is. The different people seem nice but at the end the process is tedious and will take months. First there is a call with the recruiter. There is a high chance the recruiter will never respond to you after the interview or you will be reassigned to a different recruiter. If they like you, you will move on to a technical interview with some randomly assigned people from a similar backround/role as you, who will decide if you can continue. Then follows a timed Hackerrank assesement to waste your whole day, along another 2 hours of presentation of that work on another day. As if that's not enough, there is yet another technical interview with potential team mates. Last but not least, beware of the final interview with a senior business member. Do not take it lightly as they might decide from a 30 minute call that you are not good enough to join the club.

The interview process was not good, since the recruiter not even asked about my introduction. Also, her questions were not good in terms of evaluation of the candidate. She sent some instructions before the interview to prepare but that is not useful.
