I was approached by a Recruiter from AGS who asked if I could be available for a "casual chat" about an Implementation Manager role. We set a call up and a couple of hours ahead I was asked for a copy of my CV, which seemed odd given the purportedly casual nature of the approach. I was assured it was just so they could have a document on file for me, so I sent a copy over.
Rather than a casual chat, the call itself turned out to be a series of interview questions which the Recruiter was clearly reading from a script. They also appeared to be paying little to no attention to my responses as they were repeating very similar questions. At the end of the call, the Recruiter told me there would be two roles they would like to consider me for, and he would set up a call with the hiring manager the following week. He was not able to provide much info on the roles apart from the job titles, but assured me the hiring manager would give me the full information.
After that, the Recruiter ghosted me. I chased a couple of time, but no response.
Weeks later, the Recruiter's manager approached me to ask if I would be interested in roles with AGS. I explained the approach I received from the previous Recruiter, they apologised and said another Recruiter would be in touch.
We set up a call, which the Recruiter dialed into 15 mins late, then proceeded to ask me a scripted question, listened to my response, then ask the exact same question again... After another series of questions, I was told that I would hear back from them by the end of the week with details for a call with the Hiring Manager. The end of the week came & went without an update, then the following week I received a message from the Recruiter to say they were going on holiday and another Recruiter would be in touch.
Needless to say, I've heard nothing back since.
Not the best experience from a business which makes it's money hiring people.
