I applied through the university operations program. Two rounds of interviews-- hirevue video interview where you record your answers to questions and in person interview event consisting of two one on one 45 minutes interviews.

Was contacted by a recruiter and asked if I was interested in position. Did a virtual interview via HireVue app. Then scheduled for a phone interview. The hiring manager was late to the call. Not a big deal. She asked me to give an intro. Told her about my work history and my education. She told me her work history and it was very underwhelming. She said she used to work at target, and now she's been at Amazon for a year. Did not sound too convincing. Asked a few vanilla questions in which I answered enthusiastically, as I was really looking fwd to the opportunity. She was distracted by coworkers, had put me on mute at the beginning of the interview , and accidentally hung up on me twice. I thought this might have been a good sign, since she seemed to be very casual about the whole thing. It was just a phone interview... seemed to be a pretty easy hurdle to clear. That Monday morning I got the thanks but no thanks email right at 830 am. I asked the recruiter for feedback from the interview so that I can make improvements. She said she didn't have any and it was solely up to the woman I had the phone interview with. Are you kidding me?? That was easily the most unprofessional interview I've ever had.... And SHE had the final say. This wasn't a position that I proactively applied for. It was a giant waste of time. However, the two recruiters I worked with were very helpful as far as returning emails and scheduling the interview.
