My university computer science department forwarded an email from Appian's head campus recruiter about them coming to my university for a tabling day and tech talk. I emailed the recruiter a resume and cover letter and then attended the tech talk and met them there. She set me up with a phone screen very quickly, and then an on-campus technical interview. The interview was 45 minutes - some non-tech questions at the beginning and end and one technical question. This was followed by another technical phone interview with an engineering manager, which was similar with a couple online coding questions on a collaborative online platform. A couple weeks after this I was extended an offer.
