The job posting indicated that "Prior experience in the Real Estate industry is preferred, but not required." After having clearly discussed this statement with the recruiter (who again indicated that experience in their industry was not required), I reluctantly accepted an on site interview. My concern was that Real Estate industry experience was highly desired. Turns out it was required and I wasted my time and efforts going to the interview. The company really focused the interview on experience in this area. The person who conducted the interview lacked interviewing skills and did not come across as being professional or polished with the "ad hoc" questioning.
