I appreciated the opportunity to meet the team and learn more about the organization’s mission. The interview process, though, was unexpectedly drawn out and inefficient: several one-hour Zoom interviews scheduled individually over roughly five weeks, with repeated questions and little effort to consolidate conversations. Candidates should also expect to be asked to share multiple prior writing/work samples as part of the process.
After advancing to the final round and dedicating significant time, I received an email-only rejection. At that stage, a brief phone call or more thoughtful communication would have been more professional and respectful of the candidate’s investment. Streamlining the process, reducing repetition, and improving final-round communication would meaningfully improve the experience.
