Terrible experience. Applied in late November. Received a random call from a recruiter who said she wanted to just try to call instead of sending an email to set up a time. We spoke for some time about the role. When I brought up that I had resigned from my current role without a new position lined up, she said “why would you do that?” in a very condescending way. The interview went downhill from there. She asked my salary, and when I tried to explain my answer, she cut me off and said “that’s not what I asked”. The call lasted about 15 minutes and ended because she had to pick up her child from daycare (yes - she told me this during the interview) and wished me good luck on my job search. The job was still posted and I reapplied in late January. I received two email about the position - one saying I didn’t get the role and another saying the role was cancelled. However, if the role was cancelled, why is it still posted. Not sure what’s going on, but I’ll take this negative experience as a positive.

Interview went great- recruiter said she was pushing me through to next round as she believed I was right candidate then GHOSTED. Nothing, dead silence for over 3 weeks now. This is how you lose great candidates.
