I submitted my resume through Bio-Rad's online system. After 1-2 weeks, I was contacted by a recruiter at Bio-Rad, with whom I had a phone interview (fairly standard HR screening type questions). Within a couple days, I was contacted by the hiring manager, with whom I also had a phone interview (more extensive). We scheduled an on-site visit 1-2 weeks after, during which I spoke with the recruiter, hiring manager, and one other manager. After a couple weeks, I was notified that they had decided to look at other candidates. I thought I had a great rapport with both managers - the interviews felt more like chats and less like I was being interrogated. The office culture seemed fairly laid back.

The interview process began with an initial HR phone screen, followed by an online technical questionnaire. Next, I had separate 30-minute interviews with the hiring manager and the role's director. The final stage was an on-site interview that included a 45-minute presentation and a panel interview with five separate interviewers. Overall, the entire process took about two months. Unfortunately, despite completing all stages, I never received a final decision.
