I just had an initial phone screen with the recruiter about a senior position in the NYC office. It turns out that their salary range is 30% below the low end of the market rate. I find it odd that the hiring team seems not to have done its homework on this, and exceptionally odd for a software company. If you're interviewing with this company, ask about compensation up front so that you don't waste your time.
