The HackerRank assessment consisted of two 30-minute questions that appeared to be based on simple problems but were modified in an unnecessarily complicated and ambiguous way with poor technical writing skills. Requirements were vague and open to multiple interpretations, making it unclear what was actually being asked, thereby creating a frustrating and ineffective assessment experience. I have a great deal of respect for Blue Origin, but I was not impressed by their use of HackerRank for this evaluation.

Expect to be treated with disrespect. Told recruiter on day one I wasn't able to commute to office 5 days a week and that I was looking for hybrid. He put me into interview process anyway. Final interview comes up and it turns out he knew what I had said but just didn't care and expected me to change my mind. That was after the recruiter no-showed to more than one scheduled phone call. First interview was easy. Basic questions about C programming language. Very elementary for a senior type role. Never got to panel interview but I learned that you're expected to put in a ton of at-home work to make a presentation.
