They "screen" you over the phone and do a very basic interview asking mostly stereotypical questions. If you pass that, you go into a physical location and interview with managers from the dept your applying for. My interview was about an hour and a half. The interview was very casual, it was more like a conversation. They had questions on a paper that they asked, but they also gauged the conversation and asked questions based on how the conversation was going. I got the vibe they are looking more at your personality than your merits and qualifications given how many personal, non job related questions they ask. They talked a lot about their company culture so you can tell that it's VERY important to them. It almost seemed cult-like how important and infallible they feel that their "pillars of success" or whatever they call them are.
The reason I rated my experience interviewing here negatively is because I got a strong vibe they already had an applicant in mind that they wanted to hire; they were simply interviewing everyone as a formality. One of my interviewers was late and when they did arrive, they seemed visually disinterested in the interview. They acted almost passive aggressively by making it obvious they were uninterested.
Other than feeling like I was there based on a formality, the interview was pretty standard and most of the managers were very nice.

They asked a lot of questions about their company culture and what you think they mean. Be prepared to give specific examples of things (specific time when you went above and beyond, specific time you had a problem with a coworker and how you dealt with it). Also be prepared to elaborate on almost anything you say. If they ask what your hobbies are and you say salsa dancing, be prepared to elaborate (how often do you go, where do you go to, who do you do it with).

I was first emailed by a CHG recruiter to schedule a phone screening interview. This is where the recruiter gets a feel for who you are and if you would make a good fit for the company. If you move forward after the screening, you will be scheduled for a Zoom interview with a few people from the team you will be working with. Be ready to answer questions using the STAR method. Also, have some fun facts about yourself ready to go!

Tell me about a time when you were given criticism. How did you handle it and what happened moving forward?
Good call out with the STAR method. A great way to prepare for an interview at CHG is to understand the method and potential questions. We have articles and videos on CHGCareers.com that can help direct candidates. Thank you for sharing your interview experience and welcome to CHG!
