Mostly technical questions about Caltrans manuals. Will be asked about projects you worked on. Read though the duty statement and make sure you understand the job description. Search any manuals in the DS and any look up any software that the job uses.

Have you worked on roadway projects and software you used?
It’s a structured interview process. You walk in, there’s a binder on the desk and you simply answer what’s in the binder. I was asked four questions and allotted 30 minutes to answer.

Two interviews, straightforward, series of questions with a certain allotted timeframe to answer all of them. You have the opportunity to go back and add detail if needed to answer the question further or to ask the interviewers if they need clarification.

Received a call and was asked if I was available for a certain time/date for a zoom call. Email was sent confirming details of call. During interview, it was a panel of 3 and they took turns asking questions that were also provided in a PowerPoint for one to read
