I was reached out to for an interview by a recruiter. The interview itself lasted about 50 minutes via video call, and some concerns did arise regarding style of work. Questions I was asked painted a micromanagement style environment, with a heavy focus on intense KPIs and consistently putting team members who are underperforming on PIPs. It seemed to be an indicator of culture and workplace expectations, and even for a “startup” seems to be a red flag.
