Colloquio per Customer Support Training Manager

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 5 giorni. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Chewy (Dallas, TX) nel mese di apr 2020

      Colloquio

I interviewed for the position in the Dallas Office. This would require me to relocate to accept the role. Overall, the interview process was okay. I applied online, I got an email to schedule a phone screening. There were only a few questions in the phone screening, most was telling me about the role. They have 3 call centers now, 1 in Dallas and they are adding 1 more there. This role has 2 training supervisors as direct reports and each of them has 4-5 trainers. The role reports to the Director of L&D. Every 2 weeks there is a new batch of 20-25 trainees at each call center. Goal is to increase the trainee completion rate. Based on the description, the company is very focused on hierarchy/status and coach up or coach out. I inquired about the low pay range comments and negative culture reviews on glassdoor and the recruiter seemed oblivious of these negative views. If that's the culture you choose, fine, but at least own up to it and explain it. She also told me many times how they were still open due to COVID-19 because they were essential. She did tell me all the next steps, another phone interview with the Director of L&D, then doing on site to do a presentation, for a panel followed by a Q&A, then a peer interview. The ending of the screening was awkward. I inquired about salary and she wouldn't give me a range. Kept reinforcing that they personalize salary based on the individual's experience and such. Every company has a range. That's how comp works. I said I would need to make 105-110k to consider relocating and she said she would review with her comp team on monday and get back to me. I never heard back, just a basic rejection email.
