La procedura ha richiesto un giorno. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Cisco nel mese di ott 2009
Colloquio
Applied through the company website but also forwarded the resume directly to the HR recruiter. (I got the name of the recruiter from a contact within the company). This was a phone screen with the recruiter and had the typical questions about why you left your company, how many people you managed, etc. This is used to determine if you will be presented to the hiring manager. The recruiter was willing to share where I stood with the competition.

Managers in Cisco are not very hands-on. They expect good solid experience for handling several reports. First line manager have 1 0+ reports and second line around 15+.
So, it is expected that managers show composure and more importantly situations that they have handled before like lay offs and recruitment etc

Overall, very "interesting" interview process. Initial recruiter call included some comments about how if I didn't want the job at any point, that I need to let him ASAP so he doesn't look bad to his managers. As for the hiring manager interview, questions were very easy and straightforward. But overall, it felt like I was being judged based upon their own rules and expectations, instead of my experience so far as a manager. I am glad these signs appeared though before I spent more time interviewing, as it doesn't seem like a welcoming place to work.
