You have to take two assessments before actually having a real interview. The process is very slow, I applied on June and did not get my interview until August. In the interview they use the STAR method and when you follow the method they ask you questions you already answered! Very frustrating. Trevor T Cousineau was not engaging at all, felt like he didn't want to do it, barely looked into the camera as we had to complete the interview VIA Zoom with the camera on. Minds well not have the camera on. Not even half way into the interview I was very uninterested in the interview/position. Waste of time, I was able to secure a better job, less stressfully and better paying. Look else where, unless you are desperate.

The interview consists of 3 or more people in a panel discussion setting where there are about 3-4 questions asked by each person. They consists of a supervisor for your department, 2 other supervisors or analyst and the union representative. After a few days, DTE will have the HR department call you to advise on the next step which will be drug testing, along with a background check and confirming that you are able to proceed with work.
