This probably comes across as salty, but it’s so inconsistent, disrespectful, and unjustified to me still. Despite hiring multiple people that I used to work with (one that I personally trained), pushing through multiple people that had directly reported to me in the past to their final stages of interviews of the same job, they instead viewed me as “not qualified” for the position after I did a first round interview. This is also despite me having all the certifications, software delivery experience, and even leadership experience that they required and preferred in their job description. The interviewer did not ask me very in-depth questions at all for me to showcase how my knowledge and experience can resonate with the role. It was really early in the morning and she made it seem like she wasn’t in the interviewing mood that day and she wanted to get it over with. I also firsthand know they chose to hire certain individuals (who are great people and workers btw) that didn’t know what DraftKings does at all over someone that does know a lot about DraftKings, has actually used its products before, and who actually loves sports and the industry. It will always be baffling to me how they went and communicated about it all. I felt bad for the recruiter who had to tell me that she was told by the interviewer I wasn’t qualified, it was awkward even for her.

I got a request from Recruiter, explained my status and the fact, that I already have another offer on the hands. As the result, the recruiter has organized in a very quick manner 1st and 2nd interviews during 1 day. Feedback was provided right after the interview, which also was very comfortable. I'm really glad about such positive experience in interviewing.
