The interview process had about four rounds; I made it to the second. First was a phone call, second was with a senior manager. The process seemed fine, but they didn’t have clear long-term goals, which was a red flag. They were polite, but when they called to reject me, they said, ‘Our senior manager thinks you’d be a better fit for events.’ I have no background in events—only in project management. I can’t think of any reason they’d say that, other than the fact that I’m a woman, which felt extremely sexist.
