The recruiter reached out to me with the job description that felt I almost fit perfectly in their requirements. The process for the Data Engineering position is quite unstructured though. I had multiple rounds of 1-1 with various members including a senior director and head of technology. I was hoping for a technical assessment round but the recruiter didn't hint there would be one which is odd for such a role. They were mostly behavioral and one sort-a technical with questions posed on "what would you do if.." kind of scenarios. The job description said AI first but after talking to various people it seemed it was more of a database administrator kind of role with distant opportunity for data engineering where I had the most of my recent experience.
