Colloquio
I first communicated with FMC at the career fair at my college. After talking with a recruiter, he took my resume and directed me to the specific job to apply for on their website.
He contacted me the next day to tell me that I had an interview on campus, and I was able to schedule the time for it in a two day window.
The night before my interview, there was a social at a local restaurant to help potential employees get to know employees of FMC. The next day, my interview was in the career center on campus with two engineers at FMC. It was about half personality / half technical. It lasted 45 minutes.
The interview went well, and by the end of that week, I was contacted by the HR director at FMC, telling me that I had an on-site interview in Houston on one of the next three Fridays. They emailed me at the beginning of the second week telling me that my interview was that Friday.
The on-site interview consisted of a tour of the manufacturing facility, lunch, and then a panel interview for every individual prospective employee. My interview was much more technical and in detail this time around. Many of the questions were focused on my class projects and group/team work. This interview lasted an hour.
At the end of this interview, I asked when I would know for sure about the job. They said at least two weeks, because there were still other interviews going on the following week. However, I got my offer letter in an email from the HR director only three days later.

Met recruiters at university expo. They were great, and full of energy. Seemed to like me right away. I got an interview after applying online. Interview was on campus. Lasted about 30-45 minutes, with mostly behavioral questions. Had some engineering questions, nothing too technical. They mostly wanted to see how my thought process works.

Straight forward questions. Mainly machine design and Mechanics of materials. The interviewer would explain a scenario and ask that you explain your concerns with the design and how it can be improved. Made me draw it out on the board and go over my thought process. It was easy since I had just gone through senior design and presentations were part of our grade.

The whole process was very smooth and prompt. A friend of mine referred me and I applied. I received a phone call from HR two weeks later inviting me to come in for an onsite interview. FMC flew me in to Houston on a Friday afternoon and I had a group interview with three FMC employees. One of the interviewers was an Engineer, and the other two were Manufacturing Engineers. The interview lasted about an hour, after which FMC flew me back home the same day. It was about three weeks' time that I received an offer via email. It was a very positive experience.
