Phone interview with a manager. She gave me time to tell about myself then when I asked about the role, which had no job description and was very vague, was not given enough time. She scheduled me for an interview the very next day with another leader, which is usually not a good idea because candidates need at least 24-48 hrs to prep for an interview. I asked for any tips or prep and she said she had no idea what he’d ask but it would be about an hour. The morning of the call, I emailed her to reschedule because my child woke up sick and had to go to an emergency doctor visit. From there I was told that the interviewer was booked for the next two weeks and if they didn’t move forward with other candidates, she’d let me know. I think this reflects a complete lack of sensitivity to working mothers, and a clear gap in their inclusion philosophy. I think I dodged a bullet with this one.
