The interview process consisted of a phone screen, meeting with the hiring manager, and 5 rounds of meetings with coworkers. This was for an entry-level role. While the team members I met with were very nice, I did not have a positive candidate experience. My reasons are below: 1. Large number of rounds of interviews and lengthy, multi-month process. I heard the final verdict on my application 5 months after applying. Recruiters didn't ghost but communication/updates were very infrequent and responses were rare. 2. Salary was 60k and there was confusion about the location of the role—whether it was at the company headquarters in Ohio, in Chicago, or hybrid in my city. 3. Recruiter promised to send a candidate reimbursement form to reimburse me for a taxi ride to the office for an in-person interview. It has been over a month and I cannot get any updates on how this is going despite emailing, calling, everything. They owe me over $100. I should've asked them to send me the form before agreeing to the in-person interview. Overall, I would have liked to work for the company as my interviewers were intelligent, kind, and interesting, and the role looked promising. However, the lengthy hiring process and lack of responsiveness from HR made me almost drop out multiple times. I didn't feel like they cared at all, and this whole process has really left a bitter taste in my mouth.
