I interviewed over zoom as I was unwell with covid at the time. Two men attended one was the franchise owner and other was a hiring / psychological assessment consultant - someone who I wouldn't be working with but the owner had employed to lead the hiring process. I really wanted to talk to the owner to ask more indepth questions about the role and expectations however the interview was overtaken by a raft of questions from the consultant that were delivered in a clinical and somewhat confronting manner. I didn't feel I had the chance to connect with the Employer because of this and I left the interview grateful it was over.

Had my interview with the manager at the time. All seemed fine and questions where relatable to my resume. They explained the company and direction they're taking and what they would expect of me if granted to opportunity. All in all the interview was very positive. The manager was very happy with the interview but he said that before he could offer the job, I would have to sit through an aptitude test. The test itself doesn't really reflect the position and probably more suited for a door to door salesman role rather a new home consultant role. As much as I knew the right answers, there wasn't any point in lying through it and as a result I never heard back from them again. Recruitment agency advised that it didn't matter how good the interview went, the company relies heavily on the result of the aptitude test. I found it disappointing as I believe you're able to grasp someone's personality better through a lengthy interview rather than an online test that encourages lying. You might as well publish the aptitude test rather than seek someone's resume and then time for an interview.
