I went in to purchase a game one day and the manager gave me an application. I turned it in the next week, but since he transferred to a different store I was called in by the new manager. It was a group interview of 6 people, he did 3 at a time. He basically asked what we knew about Gamestop and the gaming industry. He also asked what would we do if we caught an employee stealing, and what were out favorite games. He had a paper with a list of questions he was going to ask.

All of the questions were pretty basic, but one I had trouble with was the one about up selling.

Standard questions given by the managers and assistant manager. Questions involving teamwork, managing time, and organization. Also, work history and education. Experience with last and current game consoles is a must. Relaxed environment while appearing business casual. No need to do an online application.
Applied online and then got a call to schedule interview. She asked me about what games I like, consoles I have, etc...Then she went over how strict the job is alongside the pay rate and I, for some reason, still said I wanted to work there.
