You might be the research subject. I had a terrible experience with their interview process. I mentioned to a friend that I had applied for a position at Gartner. She mentioned applying as well and that they did all stages of interview with her and then said she was not chosen. After a day or so, they reposted the same position. Sure enough, they did exactly the same with me. I believe they are doing market research for their customers and using candidates for that matter

Interviewed and they said "the role does not have starting date, would you rather be interested in this other lower paying postion". I feel like they're using their HR department to collect data on people applying for certain jobs and they keep reposting jobs that they have no inentions of hiring for.

Got headhunted by an internal recruiter at Gartner, then followed by a long process with multiple presentations with only other internal recruiters to finally be told I won't meet with the hiring manager and they won't put me forward even though they gave me good feedback from the presentations!! waste of time and recruitment dept run by cowboys.

Recruiting/ hiring manager call 3 stage interview and presentation. Preparation for presentation, conducting a sales pitch and discussing feedback after each stage. Asking questions and preparing documents and looking through the online research about the topic in question.

Long, tedious interviews with very strict hiring managers. It required a ton of preparation which at times can feel daunting especially if you applying to other jobs or already have a full time job.

3 interviews, a lot of help and advice from Gartner's side. Very feedback driven & you are supposed to implement the feedback as soon as possible. Overall very pleasant atmosphere.

So SMOOTH, very welcoming and they actually make an effort to get to know you, there was training prior to the interview so did not feel pressure in regards to the interview. They answer all questions in regards to anything you may need to know.
