I interviewed with Geotab for a Data Scientist position in Dec 2021. It consisted of three rounds: 1. HR screening + technical (30 mins) I was asked the usual work eligibility and compensation questions along with a set of pre-decided basic python and sql questions. 2. Technical+resume (45 mins) I was interviewed by a panel of data scientists (the team that I am currently part of). The questions were mostly based on my projects and past work experience mentioned on my resume. It was a smooth experience for me. 3. Live coding I was given 1.5 hours to solve 4 problems (2 of python and sql each). I was monitored but it wasn't pair programming. I could use resources and internet as long as I wasn't directly pasting lines from stackoverflow. I absolutely loved it because I believe one should be able to find the resources needed rather than having the syntax memorised. Something I would explicitly like to mention about the interview process was how accommodating and considerate they were throughout. I received the interview call on Thursday and had travel plans for a month on Saturday. They were more than wiling to wrap up all the three interviews within two days. I even got the decision by Tuesday (5 days after the interview). So overall an amazing experience interviewing!
