Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite segnalazione di un dipendente. La procedura ha richiesto più di 2 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Google (Mountain View, CA) nel mese di gen 2011
Colloquio
I was referred through my neighbor. I had a phone screen, and was passed on to an in-person interview, which consisted of market-sizing and brain teaser questions. I believe I started the process in November. I had the phone interview in December.
I was scheduled for an in-person interview in January. I met with 5 employees. I was given one particularly tough consulting-type question. I didn't get any feedback on it, except that if I thought of a better answer, I should email this employee my new answer. Of course I did this, but I didn't get confirmation that it was received.
Later that week, I heard that I did not get the job. The recruiter offered to recommend me to other positions at Google, which she did, but those never got past the phone interview stage.
I submitted my resume, waited weeks, then got to do a recruiter screen and a tough coding call. Finally, I got an onsite interview before being told I was rejected
Domande di colloquio [1]
Domanda 1
Given integers n, d and three arrays a[], b[], c[] of size n each, print count of all distinct triplets {i,j,k} such that all three conditions satisfy -
abs(a[i]-b[j])<=d,
abs(b[j]-c[k])<=d &
abs(c[k]-a[i])<=d.
n<=100000
(You can assume the arrays are sorted)
Follow up: print all triplets
First round interview, covering mainly brain teasers and experience. Very analytical question list and live problem soling and gaming scenarios. Enjoyable but challenging process, very intelligent interviewers. Following round was a super day

It was very uncertain, overall the area of coverage and expectation was just too much. Must know very deep into the space. I would recommend to study beyond the technicals and more about the space of which the team operated in.
