It’s important for us to find candidates who are committed to our value of Belonging, so we do include question(s) in our initial screens that focus on this. Unfortunately, it sounds as if the tone or manner in which these questions were asked resulted in a negative experience for you, which is regrettable and disappointing to us. We’d like to take the opportunity to assure you that Greenhouse does not under any circumstances “profile” candidates or disqualify anyone based on factors other than the objective qualifications required by the roles we are hiring for. While Greenhouse is deeply committed to cultivating the best possible team, of which diversity is a necessary component, each hiring decision we make is based on a structured process that is carefully considered with the goal of using the right criteria and reducing bias against any individual as much as possible. We’ll strive to reflect this work in how we show up in our interviews.
