Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 3 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso H E B (Austin, TX) nel mese di feb 2024
Colloquio
My first round with the recruiter was 30 minutes on 12/14/2023. Second round was 1 hour technical interview with the hiring manager on 01/14/2024. According to the recruiter, the hiring manager told him that the interview went well and she wanted to set up the next round. Then my third round of interview was with 4 data scientists for 1 hour on 02/09/2024. According to the recruiter again, the team had great feedback and would like to set up the final round with their upper management leadership. I was not impressed with the final round on 02/22/2024. The questions the interviewer asked were good but not the tone or the way he asked. I sensed the hostility from his tone due to the fact that most Taiwanese do not like the Chinese when they don't know each other well, although I am a US citizen who was born in China. That stated fact is mainly because of the geopolitics between Taiwan and China. However I have nothing to do with the Chinese government and I am an American. The Taiwanese interviewer was late for the interview for about 8 minutes. His judgmental motive led to further skepticism about my qualifications and that is not fair. Usually after 3 rounds of interview, an offer letter is ready for the candidate and the final round with leadership is more like a casual chat. Instead, the interviewer's national bias made a dramatic 180-degree difference to the final decision. This is not how most employers advocate Equal Employment Opportunity in America. I suggest H-E-B's ethics department investigate the interviewer's prejudiced misconduct. Thanks.
