Around 50 people arrived for the "interview," and not once was I actually spoken to by a member of staff. All the interviewees were piled into a tiny room and were asked to participate in a Kahoot quiz about the history and culture of the hotel; in which, the winner won the contract. Though the Kahoot suggested that they offered "free parking at all hotels" they in fact charged me a fortune in the car park, and it cost an additional £4 to exist the car park as it's located at the Airport. On the one occasion that I attempted to speak to a staff member to ask a question, I was promptly ignored. The staff made very clear that the interview's format was to demonstrate the type of company that they were, and whilst I appreciate that they have a unique (to say the least) company ethos; what I fail to appreciate is why they would invite 50 eager applicants, who have travelled from all over the country, to what they believed to be an interview, to then use such a patronising means of choosing an employee. I was not interviewed, I was ripped off on parking, I was not even spoken to. It was clear that the staff had not read my CV either, and it would appear that everyone who applied was invited to an interview. This was possibly the most disrespectful, demeaning and patronising so-called "interview" I have ever attended.

I thoroughly enjoyed my interview at the Hampton Inn. The manager was friendly, the space was immaculate, and the welcoming staff made me feel appreciated and valued. I ended up taking the position and I loved it. The salary wasnt t high but the staff is easy to work with.
