I applied in early September. About a month later, I was contacted and completed a phone screening, Then I was scheduled for a virtual interview for a week later. They were professional, approachable, and very likeable. During the interview, I was asked the typical questions about my professional background, fit for the role, etc. I was then told I would receive an update within two weeks, as the process included another interview and an assessment; and they were looking to make a decision soon. After two weeks, I sent an email to the HR rep to check for updates. Two weeks later I have not received a reply or follow-up yet. I understand that hiring processes take time, but given how automated everything is these days, sending a quick email to a candidate takes only 30 seconds. It demonstrates consideration for people’s time and effort, and it also reflects on the organization. I would have loved to join this organization, and it would have been nice to at least receive an update, even if it was simply to say I was not moving forward in the process.
