The first interview was a simple phone call. The second interview involved studying the department and manager and then interviewing the hiring manager. It involved a lot of prep work and to be honest, it didn't help me decided whether or not I'd want the job. Maybe it was the questions I asked but I also don't think they answered my questions honestly - like they preferred feedback in the moment from direct reports and love feedback - no one LOVES feedback. Needless to say, I didn't get a third interview that would have been a more traditional ask me questions interview.
In the weeks following my application, I was in contact with several people at the company by e-mail. First, to answer some preliminary questions, and then to arrange an interview. The interview took place about a month after I had applied, and went well overall. It was a discussion and the person was really nice. From an overall point of view, communication went well from the initial contacts through to the interview, with people who were fairly available, I'd say.
My only regret is that I had to wait a very long time for a (negative) response, with no apparent sign from them despite attempts to contact them, and no feedback, which left a bit of a sour taste.

I applied through their website. They contacted me about 10 days later for a phone interview with one of their staff. The staff person was nice but HR was disorganized, to say the least. For the phone interview, I had at one point 3 different people sending me emails trying to schedule me. I was then invited in for an in-person interview. Again, the 2 staff I met with were really nice, and I thought we got along well. The HR scheduling process for that interview was also disorganized. I was pre-scheduled for an interview during morning business hours (I am still employed elsewhere). When I wrote back to HR to propose some alternative times in the coming weeks, they were inflexible and scheduled me for that same morning time slot, 2 weeks later. They also told me that someone in HR would meet me before my interview and show me to where I would be interviewed. No one from HR showed up, and I was greeted directly by the staff member. I followed up at least twice via email with my HR contacts regarding the status of my application, but no one paid me the courtesy of actually responding. I work at a competitor of ICF's and was, up until this experience, quite interested in working at this company.
