      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un'altra fonte. La procedura ha richiesto un giorno. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Inline Plastics (Milford, CT) nel mese di gen 2018

      Colloquio

The process began with the company reaching out to me. Their first request was to have the professional courtesy to respond even if I wasn’t interested so that they wouldn’t pester me. I mention this because they didn’t offer the same courtesy when I contacted them with questions. I realized rather quickly that they were not at all concerned with the qualifications or qualities in an ideal candidate like commitment and a solid work ethic because they failed my first test when I asked if it would be okay if I were to come straight from work in normal business casual attire rather than have to take time off to dress in a professional suit. Their response was “can’t you stop off and get changed in a Dunkin‘ Donuts? That would take 5 minutes. “ My thoughts were who cares that I was just barefoot in a public bathroom, atleast I ‘look’ clean. I subsequently decided to forego the interview but they called me and said they understood and I should show anyway so I though there was perhaps a glimmer of hope that I was misreading their priorities. So I decided to give it a shot. I was there nearly four hours and sat with five different people. Each of these individuals sought reasons not to hire me rather than try to recognize how I could be an asset. One of the interviewers questioned me like a tenth grade vocabulary test, the irony was he is the one with the most credentials. I quickly realized he was simply trying to have a battle of wits to feed his own ego rather than to find a redeeming quality in me. In my honest opinion their approach to interviewing is counterproductive and should be reconsidered. The product they make is food containers. If they want to attract talent to actually want to work there they should try not to push people away with superficiality and double standards. The tool room is in extreme disarray. Their lead guy was cutting aluminum using feeds and speeds fit for inkonel. They also mentioned that this individual is seeking to be promoted into the role for which I was interviewed which tells me the one who takes this role will not only have to endure his resentment for being hired over him, they will have to convince him he is not machining the materials at the proper SFM. I wish the candidate the best of luck. In hindsight the only thing I found appealing was how close it was to my home.

After investigating your comments by consulting with numerous people that were involved in your interviewing process as well has having been involved in the process, I take exception to virtually everything that you wrote. I wish you the very best in your career choice.
