The initial interview with Talent Acquisition went well, but the second round was disappointing.
It was a 30-minute call with the Tech Service Manager and the Senior Manager of Tech Operations. Despite "problem management" being mentioned five times in the job description, they didn’t ask a single question about it.
Since the role involves leading a team, I expected questions about leadership style, team development, goal setting, or motivation, but none came up.
I always ask about company culture. The response was underwhelming. The Senior Manager didn’t answer at all, and the other manager, who isn’t based in Atlanta, just said he’s heard they do “fun stuff” there but didn’t know much else. That’s concerning. Culture should be visible and driven from the top, especially by senior leadership.
