Had a solo interview then a group interview, solo interview was your typical sales assistant fare, just general experience and competency questions.
In the group interview, we were divided into groups of 5, and were told to create a poster (?!) on what 5 skills we think are most important in being an effective sales assistant, and how we should deal with complaints. We then had to present this back to the managers who would grade you on what you said. How well you do in this largely depends on how co-operative your group in, as is the case with most group interviews. You are only marked on what you actually say so make sure you contribute.
They took far too long to get back to me, finally responding 2 and half months after my interview, at which point I had already accepted employment elsewhere. They didn't respond to my emails when chasing it up either. Not very organised at all.

I attended a group interview for a temporary Christmas position where we worked together on scenario-based tasks, discussing different approaches and demonstrating teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills throughout the process.

How would you handle a situation where there’s a long queue of customers, some becoming impatient, while you’re short-staffed during the Christmas rush?

It was a group interview where we had to read several scenarios, make individual notes, and then discuss possible solutions with the rest of the group. The assessed part was the group discussion, which was challenging because some of the other participants were very loud and overly confident. This made it difficult to share my points without feeling like I was interrupting or coming across as rude. There was also no one-to-one interview at the end, so my performance was judged entirely on how I interacted within the group.

Really easy. Done a group interview where they test you on your team work, then a solo interview to see your individuality. I then found out a week later if I got the job.
