      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso KIPP Schools (Chicago, IL) nel mese di apr 2020

      Colloquio

The process involved a 30-minute phone screening, which would have been followed by a performance task and a panel interview via Zoom. During the phone interview, I was informed that the interviewer would be taking notes and would mute herself during my responses. However, her use of muting was inconsistent and she sometimes muted herself in the middle of asking questions. The interview itself was fine and seemed pretty formulaic/scripted on their end. I was told that decisions about candidates moving on were only made after the whole team met to discuss and that I could expect to hear something the following week. The day after the interview, I sent a brief thank you email. SIX MINUTES later, I received an impersonal rejection letter that seemed to be a standard rejection template. This letter communicated that at this point in the interview process they do not offer personalized feedback, then went on to detail common reasons that a candidate might not move to the next step of the interview process. These reasons included not having experience in school counseling/advising, something that was not listed as preferable over teaching experience in the "Qualifications" section of the job posting.
