I was contacted by a Kforce recruiter by phone after he'd reviewed my LinkedIn profile. Kforce was asked by the client to search for a person with a specific background that happened to be outside their area of expertise (Kforce provides contract employees to a different division of the client's parent company, and is a well-regarded partner.) I'll never forget that morning! The client interview was excellent, and a bit unusual for me, as I interviewed with my prospective manager--and his manager, simultaneously. The interview was 90 minutes, and more of a good conversation than a scripted process. The recruiter interview was more formal, and all by phone. I met my Kforce representative (relationship manager) the morning of my client interview. I would have preferred to meet her prior to my client interview.

Honestly, no question was difficult— a testament, I believe, to the recruiter's, and client interviewers', skill—or mine! The client was in need of someone, and quickly, with a specific background and skill set, and apprised the Kforce recruiter thoroughly of what was required. I was one of three candidates.
