Very straightforward process.
One person interviewed me and asked a few questions.
Did not last more than an hour, if that.
I had one interview and then an offer was made.
Applied online and passed the online test, then had a phone interview followed by in person interview. Very easy, didnt even ask questions about the company. Basically wanted me to prove i was proactive, enthusiastic etc because the store was so busy. They wanted someone with fully flexible hours who was enthusiastic and hard working, thats about it.

are you willing to work early ( start at 5am) and late (finish at 10pm)
Phone interview and then in person interview. Pretty quick and easy and doesn’t take long to hear back. Questions are pretty standard like ‘why Lidl?’ and ‘what’s your favourite item we sell’. Also a few scenario based questions.
Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Lidl (Cardiff, Galles) nel mese di gen 2026
Colloquio
Really nice manager and chill atmosphere. Didn't ask me any scenario based questions or any that I had to provide a "star" like paragraph; more focused on how prepared/ committed/ able you are to do a lot of work.

Why Lidl?
What hours can you do?
Where can you see yourself working in the shop?
