Typical interview process. It lasted around 1 month. -Initial phone call with recruiter - Video interview with hiring manager - 3 individual video interviews with potential peers/partners The process did not include a take home task or work study. The interviewers had good questions. Aside from the recruiter and hiring manager, the other interviews were very short- only a few questions from the interviewers. Everyone was quite friendly, welcoming, and as excited about the role as I was. I would say the process was very easy. Unfortunately, I never received a determination as to whether the team would extend me an offer or not. The recruiter was proactive in giving me updates and assuring that they were still waiting for feedback from the team- even 9 business days after my final interview. I received an offer from another organization but I was more invested in Marqeta. Of course, I checked in one last time before accepting my other offer but I haven’t heard back from Marqeta. To improve the process, I would recommend providing a timeline for candidates to hear back about the hiring decision after the final interview. Of course there may be several other candidates to interview, but at least giving the candidate insight would alleviate the unnecessary check-ins. It’s nerve wracking and certainly more work for recruiters to keep providing updates without providing a real update.
