My interview was actually much more informal than the other supervisors I worked with. My supervisors had been trying to get me to apply for a promotion for a while before I actually did it. During my interview the only real question about the job and my experience that came up was how quiet I was. My supervisor was concerned that me being so quiet might be a problem for me as a supervisor. I assured him it wouldn't be an issue and then we talked about tv shows and movies for about 20 minutes. An that was it. It felt more like a formality than anything else.

Met with managers over several days, my work in the previous position was observed and reported on. Previous people who held that position were also consulted about whether they felt I was a prudent choice.
