You submit your resume/ interest via their website. You will be contacted over the phone and if you they like you and are OK with their requirements you will be asked to come in for an interview. It is OK to dress informally for the interview and when you come in, you get a short history of NYPIRG and their current projects. They will then ask you why you want to work for NYPIRG and what you seek to gain. It is important to be genuine and dedicated because that's what they are looking for.

There was a group interview which was more like an info session. Here, they described the day to day of work, our training period, the campaign we were to be working on, and finally our pay. Then called us for a quick individual interview.

First I met in a group of me and one other interviewee. We filled out an application while waiting for an interviewer. They asked us an icebreaker and gave a rundown of the job and what a day would look like. Then we broke off into individual interviews, where we were asked about why they should hire us and other basic questions. I was offered to come in the next week for the first day.

Fairly easy. A senior team leader presents what the organization is about and tries to sell the audience on the benefits then each person is brought into one on one interviews with other team leaders. Most people are hired due to high turnover.
