The interview process has different stages but they all are really enjoyable! I applied online and I got a call from Tayla from Instant Impact to discuss the role and to get to know a little bit more about me and the company. Second phase was a Skype interview with Tayla, she's a pleasure to speak with and really put me at ease during the interview. She goes through customer service orientated questions (challenging and good experiences with customers, your interest on working for Octopus, etc.) After the Skype interview I was invited to take two tests online (maths and literacy). I highly recommend you revise for these! The time is quite limited, you get around 15 questions in 5 different blocks and you have 3 min for each block so basically a minute per question. Please don't beat yourself down if you think you haven't done great as you don't need a 50% to pass these tests however do make sure you revise GCSE content as that will be really helpful. After passing my tests I was invited to Discovery Day with other candidates and the people from Octopus. This is a group interview but there is also a half an hour 1:1 interview towards the end. You get to know loads of people within the company at this stage which is great, you are allowed to ask questions and you also have to interact with other candidates in customer service tasks and research tasks. I have never been a fan of group interviews but Tayla made sure I was really prepared and provided loads of examples and tips to success! Please make sure you don't talk over other people and do a good research about Octopus as this will help you a lot. The day after Discovery Day Tayla gave me a call to invite me for the final interview with two members of the Brighton team. They really take the time to get to know you and see if you are the right fit for the company. Eventually the offered the position and I gladly said yes! I think the more research you do about Octopus the more you will want to work with them!
