      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 3 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso PVA Consulting Group (Boisbriand, QC)

      Colloquio

First is a call from HR explaining that the job and going over the high travel requirements (100%). The phone call is to confirm that you are willing to take a job that will have you travel out every sunday and return home on fridays. Once you've reassured the HR person that you are indeed willing to travel and live the hotel life, you will be given an initial interview date and time at their offices. The first interview consists of showing up to meet with the HR person who called you. When you arrive, you will be given a brief questionnaire with some questions in regards to your personality, work ethic, language proficiencies. Usually completed in the front by the receptionist while you wait to have the interview. Once the interview starts, it is more about your personality and abilities in being tactful. Questions did involve managing difficult situations, experience with other coworkers, client relations or service. The job may entail making recommendations that will cause people to lose their jobs, you will be asked on your comfort of doing such things. Again, reiteration on the travel requirements of the job. Second and likely last interview, you will be meeting with someone senior in operations. Questions will be more related to past experiences, what you have to offer in terms of knowledge, people skills, ability to persuade while again being tactful. Depending on who the interviewer is, chances are you might be the one just listening. There will be one scenario or case like question. That question will likely be about how to make a client profitable given the variables the interviewer mentions. In the next few days, you'll get news that they've most likely accepted you into their job pool and will be getting back to you soon as they have a project for you to work... You will be told your contract will be sent to you then along with the non-disclosure. DO NOT QUIT YOUR CURRENT JOB!!! It will take either weeks or months before you actually start any work for them (worst case I heard of was a year later). Interviews seemed done very quick and gives the impression the role needs to be filled up ASAP but you soon learn that isn't the case as you end up waiting a long period of time before anything happens.
