Applied online. Received and email with a chart asking for dates and times for the next week to do a phone interview. I filled the chart out and sent it back immediately the same day. ONE WEEK goes by, nothing! Totally ghosted!
The following week I reach out to the recruiter who had originally emailed me and ask what is going on.
He says he was out of state and will get back to me later, then literally 1 minute later says he will call me Thursday at noon! Ok!?
So it’s now Thursday at noon- Phone interview: recruiter called, 12 min late mind you-but seemed very nice, talkative and friendly. Clearly was reading questions from a script and asking me questions about terms I was references as he is newer to the company and was unfamiliar with the full scope of the job he was interviewing me for!!! Hmm... but I was happy to teach him and then he added me on LinkedIn!! I thought that was kind of strange but perhaps a good sign?
We ended the call roughly 40 min later and he said he would follow up with the hiring manager and get back to me no later than Thursday next week!
Great. I sent my thank you follow up email and waited a week. Then two weeks go by. I reach out via email, nothing. Ghosted again! Then three weeks go by. The Monday of week four I reached out to the recruiter again and this time I called him! He said; “management hasn’t decided on hiring yet or what to do” I’ll reach out if anything changes! Today I look online and the job posting “ no longer exists” I really wanted to work for this company. I did an enormous amount of research and loved what this company has done thus far. But now, no way.
I get your company is going through a division right now but seriously...I’m done Pentair, you’re absolutely horribly unprofessional and I’m super disappointed in you
