Two brief phone screens and one in person interview with three people 1) hiring manager (who called on the phone instead of arriving to the appointment) 2) another scheduled person and 3) an unscheduled person during my 3 hours at PE HQ. There was backbiting during the the third in-person interview regarding other people on the team and the GM of the business that I would support and communication to me that the CFO was trying to upgrade the finance team and to increase the effort of the existing team. If I had received an offer, I would never have taken the role, due to the third person who was closely connected to the CFO. This guy was smart, charismatic and overly candid. I did not receive an offer, and was ghosted after my interview, not surprisingly. I did not perform well in the interview, stumbled a few times on some easy questions. I am not faulting them that I did not get an offer. However, I would never work there.
