I attended a walk in - arranged and called by the HR.
Smart, friendly hiring team.
First Round - a design and coding exercise: had to write down code for a web app on pen and paper. I realized on finishing up my code that I had created the app successfully.
Second Round - a telephonic round with tech panel - held in Sape Gurgaon offices but the interviewers were in NOIDA . The scanned sheets with my code for the first round was shared with them. Explained the code, design. Questions were based on the app, design choices, technology choices, java/orm/j2ee/framework. It went great. i learned here that mine was the only complete solution submitted that day
Third Round - Managerial Round : Went on for more than an hour , soft / interpersonal/ leadership/communication skills were tested. Approach towards problems/ people tested.
Interesting discussion , this one. Again , was good.
We were asked to leave for the day - however the HR people let me know that they had heard good things about me and that they'd be happy to have me join them soon.

It was horrible experience start to end. Offer generation is long and they don't negotiate at all. I had to follow up with the HR to get feedback on the offer and in the end they offered >10% hike.

Hiring process constitutes of Multiple choice questions round, Coding round in which your overall design gets evaluated, Technical interview on core java, DBMS, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Build and dependency Management tools and a personal interview. Most of the interviewers look for framework experts. People working in different frameworks other than Spring and Hibernate may lose the technical interview. I faced an interviewer who was interested into theoretical questions like Composition vs Aggregation, is-a vs has-a, encapsulation vs abstraction etc. The interviewer keeps on giving rating in each area.

Wasn't too hard. Met with a few people and the "interview" part that tested html & javascript was to create a webpage from a static image. When I went for the interview I didn't lookup the company enough and one of the people interviewing me was slightly disappointed. After coming in and doing the face to face I ended up talking to Naresh who's the head of the software department.
