Colloquio
Pretty awkward and intense interview in a room with 3+ people just grilling you. Was basically 1hr of talking to 2 engineers, a quick tour around the offices, another round of talking to 3+ engineers all at once, then a tour around the plant that had to have been almost an hour long. The role seemed to be much more of a design engineering role when advertised online, and when I arrived it was apparent it was much more of a production support and machine maintenance role...also showed me a lot of things in the plant that were red flags like them not being able to replace their last design engineer, the general morale inside the office, machines that didn't work or were missing guarding.

Domanda 1
Asked me a really weird and specific technical question about materials that you wouldn't know unless you specifically worked here? Was super off putting

Interview with the manufacturing engineering manager, waited outside for quite a bit before being let into the building. Then was brought into a room with 5 other employees for an interview where they just kept asking about if I would be okay with hands on machine support duties instead of what was advertised as more of a design engineer role with creative design elements, supporting the manufacturing floor. I was under the impression the role would be more Solidworks based, designing tooling and other manufacturing equipment to improve processes or upgrade machinery as seen fit but it felt like after the tour and interview that it was more of a hands on the machines, manufacturing floor role instead. Then was brought back into another room to get interviewed again by 3 other people. Wasn't particularly difficult but was not the right feeling and was not especially friendly. The interview did feel more like they were grilling me than trying to converse with me about my experience and knowledge, probably because we realized we were not aligned in what we were looking for.
