The position was for the division secretary spot. I was referred by a close friend of the person doing the interviewing. This person was a high ranking law enforcement officer and initially presented as a gruff persona. The interview lasted all of about 10 minutes. The interview explained the job and what it entailed. I was then asked "When can you start?". That was it! I gave two weeks notice at my current employer and I've been there ever since. I have changed positions and the interviewer has since retired. Normally a person needs to go through an extensive background check, but somehow I didn't!
